Bakeries and their owners are special. The neighborhood bakery is always an enjoyable place to visit. They offer comforting food and a delightful atmosphere for those chaotic days when you want to treat yourself to something special. However, some of these places are not well-known because their owners do not present their bakeries on social media with engaging content ideas. They may feel overwhelmed by the technology or unsure of what to share, or they may not understand their target audience. Luckily for you, I’m going to share 30 inspiring social media post ideas for bakeries that you can start using today. Small business owners, try it for 30 days and see what happens.

How to use this list of social media post ideas for bakeries?
Consistency is key on all social media platforms. So, pick one or two that you know your audience may be on and stick with it for 30 days. Be aware that it may take more than 30 days to start seeing any progress because of the saturation of bakeries on social media.
When should I post?
Posting time may vary for your social media platform. Try peak online hours like 7-9 AM, 12-1 PM, and 5-7 PM to see what works best for you.
Hashtags are essential; use them.
Some hashtags that you can use are #FreshBaked #ArtisanBread #LocalLove #BakingLife, but you can also make up some of your own and create hashtags (like your bakery’s name). Try catchy relevant hashtags that represent something featured in your shop.
Try out the different features on the social media platforms.
On various social media platforms, there are multiple ways to share your content. Instagram offers Reels, posts, and Instagram Stories. Facebook offers stories, Reels, and posts, in addition to these. There is a toggle to share on both if you wish, or you can share different things on each. Threads is another Meta platform, similar to X, and may be an option if you want to try it. Be strategic about what social media channels you want to use.
Engage with your followers.
When you receive engagement, such as comments, from your audience, be sure to respond within 2-4 hours. This way, they know that you are not just posting and running.
Should I post the same thing on different platforms?
Try to customize your wording on different platforms. Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok may have similar wording, but with slight variations that cater to the specific audience and what they respond to.
High-quality images or video content
Ensure your images are of high quality and your videos are concise, with the correct dimensions. Check out this link for the Reel size for Instagram. If you don’t want to create videos, try using a carousel of images instead. That is when you post multiple mouth-watering photos in one post. Facebook and Instagram allow you to include up to 20 images in each post. But I do not recommend 20 images. Four to five images work well. It is also a good idea to add music. You can listen to and select music directly in the posting section.
Can I schedule my social media posts?
Yes, of course, you can use a social media management tool. Here is a link on how to do that for Facebook and Instagram in the Meta Business Suite section. It is free if you have a business account for your baking business. Here is the link to the Meta Business Suite to get started.
I hope these questions and tips help you share the right content on your preferred social media platform.
