How often should I say these affirmations?
These positive affirmations (Affiliate Link) should be said at a time of day when there are no distractions; just make it a part of your daily routine. You need to be present and hear yourself, and you need to truly believe in what you are saying.
When should I be saying these affirmations?
You can say these powerful affirmations (Affiliate Link) at various times during your day. Below are some ideas to help you determine the best time of day for you. Pick a quiet time when there are no distractions.
First thing in the morning, when you wake up, you can say them while lying in bed and again when you are getting ready. Look at yourself in the mirror and say your positive thoughts. It was also helpful to write down the affirmations (Affiliate Link) on paper and tape them or use a sticky note to my mirror.
You can also recite your affirmations (Affiliate Link) throughout the day by posting them in particular areas of your home and office. Some areas that work well are on your desk (Affiliate Link) monitor, the edge of your laptop screen, and mounted to the wall directly in front of you while you work. If you work from home, you can add places like the front of your refrigerator and directly in front of you in your powder room.
The more you see and read these affirmations (Affiliate Link), the more confidence you will have in the area you are concerned about.
Conclusion
The trick with any affirmation (Affiliate Link) is to make it positive and have a feeling. You can change a negative self-talk into a positive one and use that as an affirmation (Affiliate Link). Remember think negative and negative things will come forward. Think positive, and positive things will be easier to see. I hope these confidence building affirmations (Affiliate Link) for female entrepreneurs help you feel more accomplished in your business and make be a hugely successful entrepreneur. I will come back occasionally and add more affirmations (Affiliate Link) to these sections. Feel free to bookmark this page and visit it frequently.

What a great selection of affirmations! You really focused on what we all (new or not) need to practice in business.
My biggest friction point with affirmations, and the thing that kept me from using them, was the use of the present progressive (also called the present continuous) tense. For me, if saying, “I am [X]ing” didn’t feel 100% valid in the moment, it felt false, like a lie, and affirmations are supposed to be in the (or at least *a*) present tense, not a future tense.
When I realized that putting in the future tense was a cheat code for lying to oneself, because nobody can be certain of what they’re doing in the future, I was able to embrace the magic of the way affirmations are supposed to be done, though I find I need to be creative to make them feel “honest.” The affirmations you’ve selected allow for that, exactly. My favorites are:
“Every day, I am creating a business that I am proud of.”
“I choose to think positively.”
“My words inspire and motivate others to take action.”
“I attract my ideal clients who value me and my services.”
“Achieving my business goals are possible, one step at a time.”
These may seem more timid to others, but they reflect a refreshing and comforting honesty that allows me to embrace them. Thanks for the reminder of the power of affirmations.

I agree, Julie. Feelings are a big part of positive affirmations. If it doesn’t “feel” right, it’s not true to the person saying it. I like to pick statements that are more about the viewpoint of a situation or a project of what I prefer to happen for my best advancement. For an effective affirmation to take hold, one must honestly believe and see it happen. The process of getting there is flexible. The goal is not. When we are at the point of making an affirmation, we have already determined what we don’t want and why we need a change. So, we are pretty clear on what our focus is. Finding the words may be the difficult part. This is why I created this post.

I once heard an affirmation about public speaking that helped me. I used to get nervous before getting up in front of people. But, then I learned that “The audience wants you to succeed. They want to learn something from you. They are pulling for you.” That made me realize that everyone in the room was on my side and if I offered one lesson or tip it was time well spent.

That is wonderful, Janet. Thanks for sharing.

They say it takes 3-5 positive thoughts to counteract one negative one. Your suggestions for integrating positive affirmations throughout your day are terrific. I love the way you categorized them. It speaks to how you might be confident in certain areas, but not in another.
This reminds me of something I was reading recently, “the best friend test.” It had to do with how we talk with a support a best friend who is having negative thoughts. We easily help comfort and challenge their unhelpful thinking. So if we can do that for our best friend, we can do it for ourselves. And having these positive affirmations toolbox is an excellent path forward.

Being an entrepreneur, perhaps especially a female, can be hard on the self-confidence. There will always be some rejection, some failure, some loss. Having a few helpful “go to” phrases that remind us of our ability is a great idea.
I have read the book The Power of Positive Thinking by Norman Vincent Peale and always felt it was one of those treasures that bears rereading every now and then. This post reminds me of that!

I’m glad, Seana. Thanks for stopping by and commenting. As life throws curve balls at us, we can easily get distracted and lose confidence. Every so often, we need to refocus and remember we are capable. I recently finished a book called “The Confidence Code – The Science and Art of Self-Assurance – What Women Should Know” by Katty Kay and Claire Shipman. It was very enlightening to see how much research has developed over these past 20+ years. Working with my small businesswomen clients, I found that everyone experiences this in different areas of their lives. It’s worth creating an arsenal of positive statements to help us when we are in this state.
