Having a Virtual Assistant Benefits
There are lots of reasons to hire a virtual assistant. Below are just three of them that will impact the productivity of your business.
- Freeing up time for other tasks.
- Freeing up your mind so you can focus on other, more pressing tasks.
- Having someone be a backup for your tasks.
- Being accountable for the tasks that you need to give to them.
I hope this gives you some ideas on what a VA can do for you. Let’s continue the conversation. Is there any task you can add to this list? What do you use a VA for? Please leave a comment below. I would love to hear from you.

Sabrina – I would SO LOVE to have a VA do all of this! Honestly, if I had to choose between having to do all this stuff and cleaning my own house – I’d rather clean. Part of it’s just a money issue, and part of it is the feeling that if I learned how to do this myself, I could eventually do it in an efficient manner. Of course, you know the rest of the story … I don’t learn how to do this all and I continue to stumble along!

It truly seems like a Virtual Assistant can do it all for a small business. I wish I had taken advantage of working with VAs more when I was first starting up. It saves so much time so that I can do the things that only I can do for my business.

Hi Sabrina,
My favorite thing about having a virtual assistant is being able to “free” up time-consuming tasks 🙂 Great list and when I am considering getting some help, I am going to refer back to your post 🙂
Thanks so much for sharing this wonderful resource we have as a small business owner!!

Funny, I was just thinking of hiring a VA, and I was trying to figure out all the different tasks that I could delegate. Thanks, Sabrina for giving me a head start with your list. It’s much appreciated.
Kimberly says
I could definitely use help with most of these things! Not quite there yet, but this is a great list to have for when I am!
Kristen Wilson says
Super list to share and remind folks what VAs can do to alleviate some some pain, stress and extra tasks from the small biz owners.
Janet Barclay says
Great list! I know there are plenty of other ways a VA can help, but each one I thought of is already on your list. That said, each VA has his or her unique set of strengths and skills, so if there’s something you don’t like to do, don’t know how to do, or just don’t want to do, there is probably a VA who will happily and competently look after it for you.
For those folks who say they can’t afford it – don’t think of it as an expense, but an investment in your business. Every time you delegate a task or project to your VA, you free up time for profit-generating activities!
Sabrina says
Good point, Janet. Thinking of it as an investment in your business is a great way of looking at the cost. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. =)

Wonderful list of tasks and gets those of us not yet ready to hire out incentive. We are very fortunate our coach helps us with many of these tasks. I think the most important benefit of having a VA, assistant or coach is knowing you are not doing this solo. You have a team aligned for your success.
Sabrina says
Good point, Roslyn. Thanks for stopping by and sharing.
Jackie Harder says
I agree with all these things! We as business people should be focusing on what we do best (and those things only we can do) and leave the other tasks to someone else. Well done!

Thanks for sharing this. I am pinning so I have when I am ready to hire a VA; not quite there yet.
Sabrina says
Thanks for stopping by and checking it out.

Although I have a web developer to help with technical coding issues on my site, and a designer for my branding materials, I must say I do most of these things myself. Sigh! I would love to have some help, although many of these things I love doing and then there is always the financial consideration in hiring someone. Your list certainly makes the idea of having a VA very appealing though, Sabrina! Thanks for sharing how many different tasks a VA can do.

I can’t really justify getting that kind of help right now, but looking forward to the day I can. I’d love to free up my time to do more of the writing I want to.

I cannot manage without my assistant, who does perform some of these tasks. It has been life changing. Interestingly, it seems that it is the mundane jobs that drives us the most crazy and they are usually the last things that we let go of.
Susan Mary Malone says
I have folks who do much of this, and I tell ya, I couldn’t live without them! I can really vouch for how beneficial this is.
Great list, Sabrina!
