It’s November – the month to be thankful. Thankful not only for your family and friends but also for what you have with your business. Did you ever think of this before? Are you grateful for what your business has to offer others? Have you ever thought of what your business gives to you and your lifestyle?
I recently watched a video about being grateful for your business and came to me that not many people may be grateful for what they have in their business. Hopefully, this blog post will give you some ways to help you be more grateful for what your business gives you.
What does the business give you? Here is a list of some benefits of having your own business.
- Money, of course
- Flexibility in your day
- Being your own boss
- An opportunity to help others
- Control your own life
- Create your own stamp in the world
- Working for your own goals and reaping the rewards
- Getting things done faster
What does your business give others? This doesn’t necessary need to be tangible. Here is a list of some things a small business gives to others.
- Support for clients
- One on one interactions with individuals
- Flexibility to help others the way they want to be helped and not predetermined by company policy.
- Support your family lifestyle.
If you don’t feel grateful for your business, try making a “gratitude list” when you wake up in the morning and when you go to bed at night. Answer this question: What am I grateful for each day in my small business? Create a few gratitude statements in the morning and in the evening. Making specific statements that relate to your small business. It may take some time to think of them but stick with it. It will come to you. Do this for a few weeks and see if your thoughts change about your business.
If you can’t think of anything that you are grateful for, try writing a “want to change list” by answering this question: What do I want to change in my small business so that I will appreciate it more? This will help you feel more empowered to take action.
By being grateful for your small business, you will be more willing to go the extra mile. This will also help you be more creative and will inspire you to make more changes in your business. It will also help you take risks and see the bigger picture.
I hope this helps you with being more grateful for your small business. Let’s continue the conversation. What are you grateful for in your small business? Please share below.
